Action Bronson isn’t your ordinary artist and he knows this.
Action Bronson chopped it up with DJ Whoo Kid to discuss ‘SAAAB Stories,’ which dropped yesterday, his comparisons to Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and possibly working with Eminem in the coming months.
When asked about his artistry during the interview, the Queens rapper joked, “I don’t f*cking know…I’m a piece of f*cking garbage. I’m human trash.” He continued on on serious note saying, “Nah, my mother raised me right. I am an artist. I never had a mind for mathematics. I always had that artistic mind.”
So when you listen to the prominent New York style he delivers in his music and pair it with his outrageous visuals, it only makes you wonder where his mind is as one of hip-hop’s fresh voices.
His 7-track EP ‘SAAAB Stories’ is produced by Harry Fraud. The music is very reminiscent to the era in hip-hop that Ghostface Killah hails from. And while many people constantly compare the two, Action shared some words with Whoo on the subject.
“Who would want to sound like someone on purpose? I guess we have a similar voice, a similar tone. If you listening to him now, we do not f*cking sound alike. Maybe Ghost in 96, not now. He sounds older, more grown.”
