Adrian Peterson speaks on gay marriage

Adrian ‘All Day’ Peterson recently was on Sirius XM/NFL radio with Amani Toomer and Bruce Murray. While on the show Bruce Murray asked Adrian Peterson if he thought the Vikings had cut punter Chris Kluwe because of his vocal support of gay marriage. AP denied that was the reason why the punter was cut, but it was his own take on gay marriage that made this interview all the more interesting.

Peterson had this to say about gay marriage:

“To each his own. I’m not with it. But I have relatives that, you know, are gay. I’m not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love them. But again, I’m not with that. That’s not something that I believe in. But to each his own.”

This may be shocking for some people, but what we have to remember is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. With Jason Collins coming out last April and athletes opening up on the legality of gay marriage, the topic of gay marriage in the sporting world won’t be going away anytime soon.
