As Floyd Mayweathers career begins to dwindle down you ask who is the next top prize fighter for many years to come, look no further.
Who is Adrien Broner, you ask? Well June 22nd you get your chance to check out Broner as he showcases his talents at the Barclays Center in a welterweight bout against WBA titlist Paulie Malignaggi. Known for his flashy lifestyle, brash delivery and showmanship in the ring it is easy to draw similarities between Broner and the best pound for pound fighter in the world Floyd Mayweather. Broner’s last six bouts resulted in TKO or KO victories making him one of Boxing’s rising stars. With a short stint professional career that shows a significant upside, Broner has only been in the squared circle for 26 bouts with an undefeated record. Some critics say he is the real deal, some are pressing the breaks on that notion because its still early in his career. Golden Boy Promotions, Al Haymon and Broner has recently been facing some criticism for skipping over the 140 pound weight class which has top notch fighters like Lucas Matthysse, Lamont Peterson and unified titlist Danny Garcia who grinded out a victory against Zab Judah at the Barclays Center a few weeks back. Broner feels he should move up in weight to help produce bigger fights and of course to stack his mula. Although he is new to the boxing world on June 22nd he wants to show and prove to the world why he is the heir apparent to Mayweather and ready to reek havoc for years to come in the boxing industry. Adrien Broner’s online reality show About Billions gives you an up close look into the fighters personal life and aspirations.
