On Monday, June 24, NBA star, film director Crystal McCrary and  Executive Producers NBA Amar’e Stoudemire and  held a private screening at the Time Center for his much anticipated documentary “Little Ballers.”

The documentary follows four 11-year-old AAU basketball players on their long and cutthroat journey to achieve their dreams and make it to the NBA. Produced in collaboration with Gregory J. Fleming, Crystal McCrary, Amar’e Stoudemire and Lupe Fiasco, the film premiered to rave reviews from the star studded audience. Guest including June Ambrose, Jennifer Williams, Bevy Smith, Kevin Liles, Walt Frazier, enjoyed an elegant cocktail reception before the screening.

The evening was undoubtly a success. Amar’e Stoudemire and Crystal McCrary were both grateful for all of the support and the success of their work. Basketball has become such an important outlet for these inner-city children to believe and succeed in life.
