Street Sharp Lyricist Drops Compelling New Street Single

 

 

Capping off what’s been a banner year, AGC operative Apollo The Great drops new heat rock in the form of the Linz Prag-produced “Rio De Janeiro”. Apollo gives a firsthand account of the perils that plague his hometown, drawing parallels to the Brazilian capital which served as the back drop for the classic crime drama, “City Of God”.

With his participation in Hot97′s Who’s Next concert series, appearance on Season Two of Fuse TV’s “Behind The Unsigned”, and having his video for “This Is Life” in rotation on MTV Jams, the New Jersey rapper has built a lot of momentum in 2013. He looks to continue his grind in 2014 with the release of his next project, New Jersey Joe. The title is an homage to his grandfather, former world champion and Hall of Fame boxer, Jersey Joe Walcott.
