Atlanta we have a problem
Things may be going from bad to worse in Atlanta as the Falcons fear that Julio Jones may be out for the remainder of the year. ESPN reported today that the Falcons WR may be done for the year with a foot injury suffered in last night’s Monday Night Football game.
Falcons head coach Mike Smith said that it was “premature” to state Jones would be done for the year. Smith did acknowledge though that the first diagnosis Jones’ received was not “encouraging.” Jones did finish the game last night despite the injury.
The Falcons are currently sitting at 1-4 following a year where they had won the NFC South. Their record plus another injury could potentially have the fat lady singing on the Falcons season. Running back Stephen Jackson hasn’t played since Week 2 due to a hamstring injury while fellow wide receiver Roddy White suffered his own hamstring injury last night as well. White was already plagued by high ankle sprain prior this season.
Jones is expected to get a second opinion but just incase Matt Ryan should figure out how to throw the ball to himself.
