Looks like Audi is stepping up their game. Aside from this slick and sexy design the technology in the car is almost James Bond like. The car features touchscreens- EVERYWHERE. The car has several touch screens that allow the driver and passenger to control all the amenities of the car. There is a touch screen to the left of the steering wheel that allows the driver to operate the vehicle’s lighting. On the right there is another touch screen that is for media controls. Not to be left out, the passenger has a wide screen that covers the surface of the instrument panel. This screen allows the passenger to control the radio and navigation system, even allowing them to send directions to the driver’s side with just a swipe. The fourth touch screen is in the center console and it is there to control the climate and other vehicle settings. On December 3, 2014, a federal appeals court ruled that Florida’s law requiring individuals applying for welfare benefits have to take mandatory drug tests. The court said the practice was unconstitutional. The judge said that just because a person is impoverished and seeking help through welfare, they cannot be stripped of their expectations of privacy. The lawsuit challenging the Florida law was brought in 2011 by the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida on behalf of Luis Lebron, a U.S. Navy veteran with sole custody of his 5-year-old son. He was denied benefits after refusing a drug test. The law originally required people applying for benefits to pay $25 to $50 for a urine drug test. If the test came back negative their money was refunded to them. If the drug test comes back positive, Florida will bar the applicant from re-applying for welfare for a year In Florida, approximately 1 in 40 tests came back positive. This is not just a policy that was being enforced in Florida. Several other states have similar policies. I am on the fence with this policy. No, I don’t believe that poor people should be singled out or have their rights to privacy invaded just because they need help making ends meet. However, I don’t really see anything wrong with having to take a drug test to receive state or federal benefits. It seems logical to me that if you need assistance with food and housing, you shouldn’t have money to spare to buy illegal narcotics. But hey, that is just my opinion. What doread more

The whole idea is that when you walk in the store the sales clerk can come over to you with that little black dress you had in your shopping cart over the weekend in just your size and you will be so impressed, you will buy it. Elastic Path’s has developed technology that works with store loyalty apps and small sensors inside the stores that “talk” to the app on a customer’s phone. This is just some dumb shit. The whole shebang starts at 23,500 Euro (the company is based in Sweden), which currently pans out to just shy of $31,000. The CataPlay application connects to Spotify, letting you set up a playlist for the afterlife — a playlist you can make private or public. Again, you’ll be dead, so why not make it public so people can add tracks to it? The CataPlay service, then connects to the CataTomb headstone, which features a 4G wireless connection, 7-inch LCD screen that displays the track being played, and a computer to process everything. The music is then piped from the CataTomb down into the CataCoffin, which sports speakers and an 8-inch subwoofer — all powered by a custom 2.1 amp.
