Azad Right releases the official music video to “Self Made”, which serves as the intro track to his upcoming project For The Hopeful. The young, self-made lyricist hailing from Santa Monica released this as a part of his bi-weekly #GetRightTuesday campaign and is available for free download here.
As a quick side note, we think it’s important to note the relevancy of this track as it pertains to Azad’s life. There are two lines where he states, “I love you dad, without you this wasn’t possible / I’m my father’s prodigal son, dodging them obstacles.” For those who don’t already know, Azad’s father is established blind poet Majid Naficy. One could argue that riding the coattails of his father’s name (or more regularly incorporating it into the image of his brand), although that wasn’t how he was raised, could’ve been the easier path. Self made is through-and-through the route he is taking.
