During Fashion Week in Paris BALMAIN showed off their Pre-Fall 2014 collection for women.
The signature silouette that BALMAIN is known for runs through the whole collection. The long cheetah print skirts with the sharp shoulders look of the 80s has made a comeback this season. The satin black hooded jackets get the subtle touch of golden bracelets on the model which gave the look a very Cleopatra feel but keep it modern at the same time. Olivier Rousteing chose heels instead of boots making the looks extra slender.
From black quilted leather jackets to the wrapped navy blue leather mini dresses it is a well-balanced collection. It’s casual yet very ready-to-kill the night in the most elegant way gear. The attitude is still don’t be afraid to dress like a boy with loose cut pants and oversized safari-inspired jackets, pale faces and tied-back hairstyles. The Pre-Fall collection this year dominated in navy blue, black, olive with just enough tinge of leopard and zebra prints. Olivier Rousteing explains the collection is for ‘all the girls in the world’. Here are some of the pieces from the collection.
