Teenagers find themselves arrested after taking a selfie on stolen iPhone

TheSource.com, The SourceTwo Brooklyn teenagers were arrested for stealing an iPhone after preying on victims in a local park. What led officers to the arrest is the selfie that the two took on the stolen iPhone.

According to the New York Police Department, Tyquan Solomon, 19, and Terrance Sistrunk, 16, are accountable for up to six crimes of theft in and around the Fort Greene Park area, having started on January 22.

After robbing a 22-year-old man on the corner of Auburn Place and North Portland Ave. on February 2 at approximately 1 a.m., cops finally caught up with the muggers. Allegedly, one of the teens held a BB gun to the unidentified man’s head while the other ran through the victim’s pockets and stole his iPhone, along with $205 in cash.

Not long after checking his iCloud did the victim find that the thieves had taken and uploaded a photo.

Both of the teens were arrested and charged with multiple counts of robbery.
