The better question is, who didn’t come out at Casey’s show last night?
Vested In Culture/Roc Nation Inglewood rapper Casey Veggies is having himself a year. His January album, Life Changes, has drawn numerous critical acclaim, he’s garnered co-signs from Drake, launched his PNCINTL clothing label and is currently on a successful nationwide tour with G.O.O.D. Music rapper/producer Travi$ Scott. Last night, at his homecoming show at the El Rey in Los Angeles, Veggies put on a show to remember, and his friends helped him out. ScHoolboy Q, whose debut album is set to be released later this year, showed up and turned up with the crowd to the tune of “Yay Yay” and Tyler The Creator assisted Veggies with their 2010 collab “DTA”. Furthermore, in what may be the performance of the night, frequent Casey Veggies collaborator and crowd favorite Dom Kennedy slithered out from backstage to help give the El Rey a live rendition of the Life Changes song, “She In My Car” and their The Original Dom Kennedy collaboration, “CDC”. Not to mention, Casey Veggies performed an entirely new song, allegedly called “The Boy”, which is produced by Hit-Boy and is rumored to feature Drake. Thanks to Hip-Hop Heisenberg, we have some rather dope footage of all the surprise performances, check ‘em out.
