CFO of Apple wants to spend more time with his family
After 18 years with Apple, CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Peter Oppenheimer has decided that he wants to spend more time with his family. Since his CFO position in 2004, Apple noted that their revenue has grown from $8 billion to an outstanding $171 billion. On Tuesday Apple named Luca Maestri, currently Apple’s senior vice president of finance and corporate controller, its incoming CFO.
Maestri began his career with General Motors where he worked for 20 years. He also has experience as CFO, previously serving as CFO of Nokia Siemens Networks and Xerox. Maestri will begin his transition into the role of CFO in June. Comments made by Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook really show Apple’s appreciation for all Oppenheimer has done for the company.
