The musical collaboration between James Blake and Chance The Rapper was quite possibly one of the best and most sought after pairings in the industry. Blake’s dark, synth heavy production and beautiful vocals were a great complement to Chance’s wild delivery and lyrical heaviness; making their “Life Round Here” remix work on a number of levels. However, it seems that the final versions that fans heard was not the original incarnation.

Today, Chance released his first crack at the song, entitled “Save Yourself First”. A little less than two minutes long, this track still provides a full helping of his charismatic content and his introspective lyricism. The few minor changes to the production offer a unique sound that once again delivers; although James Blake never liked this version. Definitely check out the track below.
