For those unfamiliar, R&B singer Ravaughn‘s single “Best Friend” has been making waves. Signed to Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Ne-yo’s Compound University, the in-demand demo and background singer is currently working on her solo Columbia Records debut, Love Always.

Earlier this year, she gave a few views of her first single, “Best Friend” in the form of an in-studio performance and lyric video. Today, we feature behind the scenes photos of the official video to the emotional track. While she sings of falling in love with a friend, this isn’t your typical love song. RaVaughn starts off soft, but by the time the chorus rolls around, her demeanor changes as she lets this man know, she’s not his f-cking best friend; she’s been sitting on a bench for far too long.

Sometimes you have to let him know what’s up.
