The Hub is stirring up a lot of controversy with their new production.

 

The ad for the new show SheZow has been getting mixed reviews from many online publications; most negative, some not caring, and some intensely excited (Perez Hilton).

The cartoon follows Guy, a normal 12-year old boy who loves video games and skateboarding, but when he finds a magic ring, he is transformed into the female superhero SheZow, almost like a gender-bending Green Lantern. SheZow isn’t a masculine, sinewy X-Men, but more like Wonder Woman, complete with pink skirt, thigh-high boots and a pink car for saving the world.

While some may say the plot of SheZow is just funny, to some the show is just a bit too much for children. Let us know your thoughts, do you think a gender bending superhero is living up to the times or pushing the envelope?
