Engineers in China got a bright idea. They saw how wasteful it was energy-wise to have a train start and stop. So they started to wonder if they could make a train that never stops.
Conceptually, it appears that they’ve done it. It basically works by having you sit down in a connector cabin that attaches to the train as it passes underneath your car. The design hasn’t yet been fully realized, but it’s amazing to think on, isn’t it?
