The singer’s troubles continues

Chris Brown‘s having himself one hell of a year–take that with a grain of salt, its only March–and by “hell of a year”, we don’t mean #1 hits and award show performances. After being ordered to remain in rehab earlier this month, Chris Brown was promptly thrown out of the rehab facility he was ordered to stay in for violation of “internal rules”. Being forcefully removed from rehab was, imaginably, a violation of Brown’s rehab, and he was sent back to prison until a judge decided the next course of action for CB.

That course of action was apparently just decided, as TMZ reports Chris Brown has been mandated to remain in prison until April 23rd of this year.

The judge said Chris had an “inability to stay out of trouble.” Hizzoner was especially concerned at a statement Chris made at the rehab joint, “I am good at using guns and knives.”

So Chris will sit in jail until April 23. The judge wants Chris in the slammer until a D.C. jury decides if Chris committed criminal assault in an unrelated case. That trial is set for April 17 and should only last a few days. It’s unclear if the judge will let Chris back to attend the trial.

Doing a month in jail seems like child’s play for Brown, who was all but exiled from popular culture after his physical altercation with Rihanna in 2009 left her face bruised almost past recognition. However, he’s not completely out of hot water. He’s due in court on April 17th for another criminal assault case that comes with a possible 4 year prison sentence.

Chris Brown’s new album, X, is due out on May 5th, less than 2 weeks after his release from prison.
