Marco Fidel Ramirez definitely isn’t one of the 62 million plus viewers on YouTube who watched Shakira’s new video, “Can’t Remember to Forget You.” The Colombian politician is in fact disgusted with the video featuring Rihanna, calling it “simply gross.”
“Shakira’s new video is a shameless case for lesbianism and immortality. It is a danger to children,” Ramirez tweeted to thousands of his followers. For greater emphasis, he began the hashtag #PeligroVideoShakira, meaning “Dangers of Shakira’s Video.”
In the Joseph Kahn directed video, the 37-year-old singer is touchy-feely with the “We Found Love” singer. Both ladies look beautiful as they sing of a post-break up.
However, the Public Option Party councilor urges the National Television Authority to ban the sensual video from all channels so it doesn’t “damage the moral character of the youth of Borgota, Colombia and Latin America.” Other concerns from the Borgota politician includes the images of tobacco use and killing.
Shakira’s new self-titled album, Shakira is scheduled for release on March 25. Until then, you can see Shakira on NBC’s The Voice, where she coaches new singers with hopes and dreams of becoming a star, airing Feb. 24.
