Daft Punk is way ahead of the competition with ‘Random Access Memories’.
325,774. That’s how many copies the electric production duo Daft Punk pushed of their most recent album, Random Access Memories, in its first week on the shelves. Driven by the success of the album’s lead single, “Get Lucky”, featuring the always-relevant Pharrell Williams, the album featured a second appearance from Skateboard P, and contributions from Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams, and more. In addition to the success of RAM, the duo has reportedly worked on Kanye West’s upcoming Yeezus album, in an attempt to re-capture the chemistry they displayed on their previous record, “Stronger”, which topped charts worldwide. Regardless, Daft Punk seem well on their way to platinum. Applause is in order.
