Apparently, not everyone is excited to see the comic god Dave Chappelle return to the stage. During his performance at the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival in Hartford, CT on Thursday night, the comedian allegedly walked off stage abruptly after people in the audience refused to quiet down.

Just minutes into his set, Chappelle’s jokes came to a halt when attendees towards the front of the stage began creating a ruckus, causing the comedian to refuse to continue with his set until they stopped. Apparently, his statements simply made the crowd get even louder, which prompted Chappelle to sit on a stool and begin smoking.

Audience members took to Twitter to describe the incident with one person claiming the comedian told the crowd, “If someone sitting next to you is yelling, punch them in the kidney.” Another concert goer tweeted “dave chappelle just walked on stage, told 2 jokes, sat down and lectured us, then says “i have 3 minutes left then i’m going to the bank.” Soon after Chappelle left the stage upsetting hundreds of fans that came out to see the show.

If Dave Chappelle tells you to shut the f**k up, then you shut the f**k up! Or as in the words of Kanye: “Bow down in the presence of Greatness!” This man’s job is to entertain, how do you expect him to do that if no one in the crowd can hear him? The nerve of some people.

What do you think? Was Dave Chappelle justified in walking off or was he simply being a Drama King? Let us know in the comments below.
