Celebrities appearing in advertisements are a regular occurrence in todays media landscape. Many pop culture icons become the “face” of a brand with advertisements featuring them seen across various media platforms. This is not a new phenomenon, and French artist David Redon united nostalgic advertisements and posters from years past with the most popular celebrities of today in his latest project, “Ads Libitum”.

Redon seamlessly takes vintage advertisements and superimposes the likes and lyrics of Kanye West, Daft Punk, Pharrell, 2 Pac, Outkast and many more to create clever posters. These retro posters are not only genius but humorous. While he took to his Tumblr to let the public know that they are none of them will be for sale, citing copyright issues, the entire amazing collection is still available for view.
