Daz Dillinger vs. GTA V
Daz Dillinger of the legendary rap group Dogg Pound is not too happy with the makers of GTA V. If you have played the game you’ll notice that two of Daz’s songs are featured in the game; “C-Walk” and “Nothin’ But the Cavi Hit.”
Apparently those songs were illegally put in to the game after Daz refused Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar’s offer to use the songs. Daz believes that the company’s offer of $4,271.00 was “offensively low.”
Daz has since hit the game’s creators with a cease and desist letter but that’s not all. Daz is now demanding that they make him a better offer on the songs or recall/destroy all unsold copies of the game.
For Daz this doesn’t seem to be just about the money as he told TMZ it’s about “respecting an artist’s work. Rockstar didn’t do that here and I can’t let them get away with it.” GTA V makers have 14 days to reach Daz’s demands or strike a deal.
Imagine the fallout of recalling all GTA V games? Utter mayhem.
