Former Death Row artist Daz Dillinger sends cease and desist letter to Rockstar Games

First the Matrix makers pay up…

After setting unprecedented sales records with the hit video game Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games and and Take Two Software have been sent a cease and desist letter for all sales and online play by West Coast legend Daz Dillinger of Snoop Dogg’s Dogg Pound for usage of alleged stole beats. The rapper is demanding that companies cease all sales and online gaming in the next 14 days or further legal action will take place.

The tracks “C-Walk” and “Nothin’ But The Cavi Hit” were featured on GTA 5 even after Daz declined the companies’ offer of a mere $4,271 for both songs. He’s requesting a bigger chunk of the proceeds or destroy all of the remaining unused copies of the game.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is the highest selling video game of all time, grossing an incredible $800 million in the first day of its release and has now reached over $1 billion in sales.
