Racks on racks on racks
Diddy, who has reverted back to Puff Daddy for the sake of his upcoming album, Money Makin’ Mitch, just came in at #1 on Forbes 2014 Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artists list, and the runner-up isn’t even close.
As in, 150 million dollars away.
Dr. Dre comes in second place on the wealthiest rappers list at $550 million, but he’ll have to sell a hell of a lot of headphones to catch Puff, whose newly launched Revolt TV venture should allow him to comfortably cross the finish line in the quest to become hip-hop’s first billionaire. When paired with Beyonce, Jay Z can claim billionaire status, but as a lone entity, Jay Z sits on the list at $520 million. Pretty impressive, especially considering Jay’s the only guy on the list consistently putting out albums. Since 2007, Jay’s put out 4 albums, one of which was the joint Throne album with Kanye. Collectively, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Birdman and 50 Cent–the other 4 moguls who join Jay on that list–have collectively put out 2.
Birdman & 50 Cent round out the list, and you can view the full breakdown over at the Forbes homestead.
