It’s been 11 years since hip-hop pioneer Jam Master Jay of legendary group RUN DMC was gunned down in a Queens studio.
In a three-minute interview with FUSE, EPMD’s DJ Scratch sat down to discuss his early days as a young DJ opening up for the Queens emcees. Scratch showed off his shrine to Jam Master Jay, which includes turntables, his legendary hat and Adidas.
Scratch revealed that while touring through Europe on the Run’s House tour, prior to each show they both would have a turntable jam session, which is how they solidified their bond.
