McNabb ends his career with the team he started with

Today officially ends the NFL career of quarterback Donovan McNabb, more importantly McNabb ends his career as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. McNabb started his career on a rocky note with the Eagles faithful and it ends that way as well. When he was drafted in 1999 out of Syracuse he was booed by the fans and it ends the same with a few fans booing McNabb at alumni day yesterday.

McNabb will be honored by the Eagles on September 19th when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. McNabb will be inducted in to the Eagles Hall of Fame and his #5 will be retired by the team.

In his 11-seasons with the Eagles McNabb put up 32,873 passing yards with 216 touchdowns which got him in to six Pro Bowls. Along the way he made eight trips to the playoffs, four consecutive trips to the NFC Championship game, and a trip to the Super Bowl.

Now we say farewell to McNabb the only way we know how, with his classic Campbell’s Chunky Soup commercial.
