Chicago’s upcoming hip hop scene is looking bright.
It seems like Chicago artists have been pretty busy recently. Theres Kanye & Lupe.. Then you have Chief Keef, Chance The Rapper & Vic Mensa (who’s “Orange Soda” video has been on rotation) & now I’m sharing Alex Wiley.
Earlier in the week, a friend brought Alex’s “K Swiss” song to my attention and I thought it was the funniest greatest thing I’ve ever heard so naturally I went on a search for more music. Just my luck, the good people at Closed Sessions recently released Alex’s debut mixtape, Club Wiley, this past Tuesday. Club Wiley features production and appearances from The Hood Internet, Freddie Gibbs, Action Bronson, Jean Deaux, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper, GLC and more.
You can stream Club Wiley below & click here for a direct download.
For readers in the Chicago area, celebrate the release of Club Wiley tonight, June 6th, at Lincoln Hall with performances from Alex Wiley, ShowYouSuck, Caleb James, Kembe X, and more.
