Drake might be feeling some pressure in the hip-hop community after finding himself in Kendrick Lamar’s cross-hairs. Well, if all reports are true, he will now have another big named ally in his camp. After a prolonged subliminal war of words–using song lyrics, interviews, and a club as the battlefield–Drake and Chris Brown have finally reconciled and squashed the beef.
Last night, Chris Brown shocked fans, when he posted that he was in the studio with the Czar of Toronto. While this is the first public display of being on good terms by the two, this was not the first time that they have been spied together. During the IHeart Radio Festival the two bumped into one another and showed nothing but the utmost respect to one another. According to Page Six: “Drake came Friday with his whole crew, and watched Chris’ entire set,” a source said. “They were backstage hugging and drinking.” Clearly there is something powerful about Drake hug, just ask Common.
At their studio session, Chris played Drizzy some tracks. One apparently caught his ear, and he told the R&B singer that “this is a big record man.” It is good to see that these two brothers can come together and move on from their problems. Although they both aren’t the toughest men in the industry, they still took the higher ground and are in the process of helping one another.
If there is a collaboration in the works that would most certainly be a “big record.”
