There is nothing wrong with being emotional and spilling your heart out in your music. Being known as the sappy rapper in these streets, Drake finally speaks out about those rumors and other topics regarding to the “NWTS” album. Drake sits down with Jian Ghomeshi to elaborate more about how he really feels about his new album, “Nothing Was the Same” and what his fans have been saying about his emotional lyrics.

In the interview he explains how he feels about his fans calling him, “lonely, emotional, and longing for a woman,” but Drake says,”I am not that type of person, I’m actually happy.” And he wonders why everyone thinks that he contradicts himself in his lyrics.

If he is so happy and not looking for a good woman, then why write about that in your songs? Hip-hop can be very aggressive with harsh critics, but Drake has learned  to curve the hate and just focuses on making good music. The interview covers all bases of what went in to completing his third album, “NWTS.”
