The fifth annual OVO Fest is set to take place August 3 and 4 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Ontario, Canada. With Drake and Outkast serving as headliners with a long list of big name special guests all set to perform at the two day festival, it’s no surprise that the event is expected to attract a large amount of tourists and provide a serious boost in spending around the area. To help the event run smoothly, Celebrate Ontario, a program that is dedicated to helping festivals make improvements to the city scene has awarded OVO Fest with a $300,000 grant. In the first four years, the festival managed to bring out some of hip hop’s biggest stars including Kanye West, Jay Z, Eminem, Diddy and Lil Wayne and with this grant we might see that trend continue for years to come.
