Always known for doing things ahead of the curve with music and style, songstress,  Erykah Badu gets the royal treatment and stars as the new face of luxury brand Givenchy. Adding to bland and lack of diversity in fashion world, comes designer Riccardo Tisci.  Mostly known for his work with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, he’s also been known to add flair and ruffle a few feathers alone in fashion.  Erykah Badu wears the Spring 2014 collection which is a mixture of Japanese and African influences. “She’s one of the most stylish women I’ve met in my life,” boasted Tisci on his selection of Miss Badu.  Erykah Badu also joins a line of the campaign’s female models that are also women of color.  Look for the campaign shots in various magazines starting in January. This may be the beginning of barriers broken in the fashion industry. Take notice.
