Rita Ora, Va$htie, Zendaya and Victoria Justice were a few of the notables we spotted on the front row at Donna Karan’s “DKNY Fall 2014″ presentation. Real New Yorkers are the heart of DKNY, so Donna gathered a cool set of NYC influencers to model her clothes on Feb. 5. It’s all about “Real People, Real Style,” she wrote.
Angel Haze modeled in the show, in addition to A$AP Illz, tattoo artist James Quaintance, DJ Hannah Bronfman and Chelsea Leyland, to name a few. We spoke with Angel right after the show. Check out what she told The Source exclusively:
How did you come to model in the presentation?
Angel Haze: They just called me and asked me to do it and invited me out, it was really cool. I was fucking nervous, I basically feel for models because all the confidence that was there, was not – just saying.
No one could tell you were nervous!
Angel Haze: Well, good. I’m happy. It was amazing, Donna was really nice to me backstage.
Tell us about your personal style.
Angel Haze: My personal style now, I feel like it evolved so much because now I’m trying to stray away from trendiness, and now I just wear suits all day, as you can see.
Anything you would like to add?
Angel Haze: I guess for girls the best look is the “death” look – you know get up and look like you don’t care – go out and rock and roll!
A$AP Illz who designs jewelry, accessories and clothing said he was very excited to be involved with the show. “Well, I got the assist from my homeboys, they scouted me for talent, shout out to F Luxury, B, J. Scott and my other homie Tone. They all helped me get this job, this is my first debut, and this is exciting for New York. It’s a great experience for me and I love being a part of DKNY.”
