Isaiah Rashad proved that the hype surrounding him and his recent signing to Top Dawg Entertainment was more than justified, with his critically acclaimed debut project, Cilvia Demo. Displaying his versatile lyrical ability and breadth of knowledge, the EP solidified his position among the top young talents that hip hop has to offer. We knew that we had to get Rashad into our office, when he came up to New York City, and he didn’t disappoint.
Rashad spoke about his reason behind naming the project Cilvia Demo and his reluctance to include some of the more popular songs. Additionally, he humbly spoke about his role in the TDE BET Cypher and its impact on his life. Finally, he candidly spoke about his nihilistic plans for his last twenty four hours on Earth, and his possible job opportunities outside of rapping.
