Jay Pharoah of SNL fame has given The Source an exclusive premiere of his song “Until,” a prelude to his mixtape ”The JHULLK Ressurection.”
This summer, Jay Pharoah will make his musical debut with “The JHULLK Ressurection.” The SNL star has always had hip-hop hopes, making his first song at age 13. Pharoah started entering local freestyle battles at 16 years old under the rap name JHULLK, quickly building a reputation for his quick-witted, lyrical ability. Jay the rapper may not be a huge surprise; he wrote “Bag Jackin’ Bitches,” the Weekend Update collaboration with him and Drake, as well as “Turkey Day,” using his impression of the late, great, Notorious B.IG. But the comedian wants people to know that “JHULLK Resurrection” is NOT a parody mixtape. “I’m coming out with a serious project. I want to show my lyrical versatility over melodic production…I’m hoping it will be a classic.”
Check out “Until,” JHULLK’s prelude to his project, “The JHULLK Resurrection.”
