Fans in Monroe, LA paid $150 for a “Birthday Extravaganza,” which featured a performance from R Kelly and were shocked when they experienced something completely different.

Fans became infuriated when an R Kelly impersonator appeared instead of Robert Kelly himself. The look-a-like lip synced four minutes after making fans wait three hours at the Monroe Civic Center. Promoters and bouncers refused fans from taking pictures or approaching the R Kelly look-a-like and the impersonator was seen at a restaurant after the event.

The party promoters have began issuing refunds to the fans and said “I’m sorry, we were duped”. When asked if they knew it wasn’t really R Kelly he refused to comment.
