Lets not act like we’re surprised here
Yesterday, Toronto’s very own Drake opened up pop up shops in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto giving out gear promoting his highly anticipated album Nothing Was The Same. Surprisingly, this gear was “compliments of the company” so hundreds of Drake fans came out to support and receive the free gear. This was shaping up to be a great promotional event from the Drake crew.
Someone must’ve yelled “Worldstar”.
Footage shows a fight breaking out at the event in New York City. Video shows an argument between two people brewing, and unfortunately, the argument became physical once someone threw a punch. Not too much damage was done though, other fans on the line quickly broke up the fight.
This isn’t the first instance of Drake giving out something causing mayhem in New York. In 2010, Drake planned a free concert for his fans set to happen at the South Street Seaport. The New York police department was forced to shut this concert down due to a riot forming.
Free Drake events seem to bring out the worst in New Yorkers.
