After a 5 year delay, the Cash Money & MMG CEOs have decided to put out their collaborative album.
Remember in 2008, when Rick Ross and Baby were getting ready to put out an album called The H, and the entire effort got canned and the two never mentioned it again? Well the wait is over next Thursday, when the album will be released to the general public. Despite Birdman working on putting out Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album, Lil’ Wayne’s upcoming Devol, Busta Rhymes upcoming album and Rick Ross hard at work at MMG with albums from Wale, Omarion & Stalley all expected to be released at some point this year, The H: The Lost Album Vol. 1 will be out on May 23rd, much to delight of fans of both rappers execs. Expect a song (or two) to be released in the interim, and check back with The Source for the project.
This is what Rick Ross had to say about the recording process in 2008.
That was 2008. We’d go to the studio, bang out five, six, seven records, then go shoot us some shit, jump in the Rolls Royce and swerve. We did so much music and we’ve just been sitting on it, and when we get together we’ll listen to it and smoke somethin’. Stunna just hit me like, ‘Man, let’s go feed the streets with that
