Flavor Flav was scheduled to perform with Public Enemy at the Glastonbury Music & Arts Festival in England this weekend however last minute reports were confirmed by Public Enemy’s press team that he would be unable to perform the day of the event due to not being allowed to leave the United States. Glastonbury’s press team was asked to relay this message from Public Enemy’s camp:
“Unfortunately Flavor Flav cannot leave the USA due to immigration issues, Chuck D regrets the fact that Public Enemy will be performing without Flavor Flav but the band will do their best to put on a great show for all the fans at Glastonbury.”
The press statement does not say why the legendary hype man was unable to leave the country however Flavor Flav was charged with Assault in April of this year for allegedly threatening his fiances son with a butcher knife during an argument in there Las Vegas home. Flavor Flav stands trial this September for the allegations which he posted $23,000 bail for and faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
