Looks like Roc Nation Sports is adding some talent to the front office
From the looks of it, Roc Nation is not only shaking up the athletic world, but also adding talent to the corporate level too.
Michael Yormark who was previously the CEO of NHL’s struggling Florida Panthers, has accepted the new role as president and chief of branding and strategy for Roc Nation.
After joining the panthers in 2003, Michael Yormark believes that his time has come to part ways and believes that the Florida Panthers can succeed under owner, Vincent Viola.
Earlier this week, Michael Yormark released a statement in the Associated Press regarding his new position:
“Roc Nation represents a wonderful new adventure for my family and me, and I am thrilled to join an exciting, innovative organization,” Yormark said in a statement released Monday afternoon. “Roc Nation is poised to grow in to one of the most influential companies in the industry and I am looking forward to taking on this new challenge.”
It’s going to be interesting to see how he can pan out as the president and chief of branding for Roc Nation when his duration as CEO for the Florida Panthers was pretty much in the gutter. Let’s see if he has what it takes to flourish with the likes of Jay-Z & Co.
