The hype around this fight doesn’t look like it is going to level off. First it was Mayweather’s incredible $41.5 million guaranteed purse, but this latest development takes the cake.

Alvarez and Mayweather will now be fighting for a solid gold belt on Saturday night. The belt was revealed during a press event for the fight and tweeted out by Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports.

Solid gold belt necessary? Unnecessary? Who knows, but it looks cool.
