The fight to put boxing back on the map

Floyd Mayweather is giving the people what they want and what they want is a fight between Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez. Current pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. will take on the 22-year old junior middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez on September 14th.

Since the Pacquiao and Mayweather fight never came in to fruition this is the fight that is being heralded to propel boxing back in to popularity. The fight will be fought at a catch weight of 152 lbs.

In the words of Canelo Alvarez, “I will be the first to beat Floyd.” See you on September 14th.
