You would think after playing a couple years with Kobe Bryant, Smush Parker would be used to getting shown up but that is not the case.
Last week the Brooklyn-born former NBA player was playing in a pick-up game at Basketball City at Pier 36. According to the New York Post Parker was playing against 16-year old Wolfgang Novogratz, the son of HGTV stars Robert and Cortney Novogratz and a star player at Brooklyn’s Poly Prep.
Wolfie, who is 6-foot-2, 185 pounds got the best of Parker and he didn’t take to kindly to it.
“Wolfie scored back-to-back baskets on Smush,” said the source. “At the other end, Smush went up for a shot. There was a hard foul, and they both went down. Smush got up and punched Wolfie in the face.”
Wolfie tried to continue playing but had to sit down. He was later taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure but was deemed okay and released. Luckily for Parker, Woflie declined to press charges.
