If you died the world would blur. I wouldn’t know what a tree was.
Last week on the HBO hit series, Girls, Hannah celebrated her 25th birthday. Adam’s quirky sister, Caroline shows up at his door after losing her job. And Marnie finds out that video that she recorded for her ex boyfriend, Charlie, is on YouTube.
This week, it is all about loss. Hannah finds out that her editor David died unexpectedly and is hard for her to express her feelings about the death.
Jessa discovered that her friend Season from her drug days had pretended to die and is very upset over the lie Season told and decides to walk away from their friendship. Marine’s video on YouTube continues to haunt her but is unable to take the video down from the site and Ray decides it was okay to show the video to people.
Adam, Ray and Caroline can’t fathom Hannah’s selfishness and lack of compassion for the death of her editor but Caroline has a trick to get Hannah out of her selfishness by telling a story of her dead cousin. The story helps Hannah realize that she is taking her life for granted.
Caroline finally tells her that the story is made up and starts getting mad. Towards the end, Hannah and Adam are sitting down talking and she tells him that she was shocked about how life can be sometimes and how you can’t take your life for granted. She explains that you can just be walking around, talking…the next day you’re face down in the river and nobody has a good explanation. Kind of sad, huh?
Tune in next week to see what happens in the next episode!
