When artists claim to be artists, that says a lot more than some think. It means taking your profession of creating art as a nonstop journey to explore new dimensions of expression and interacting with the audience. It means taking chances and going the non traditional route to see what works best. Over the last month or so, Chicago rapper Alex Wiley has done just that. He’s released three music videos that come together and tell three loosely related stories.
The Closed Sessions artist worked with VisualMecca to alter reality, as you follow the effects of an unknown substance among three girls. It has an ending open to interpretation as the substance is dumped into the waters of Chicago. Is it to rid the girls of anymore trips or to share the experience with the rest of the world?
All of the videos were directed by VisualMecca. The three tracks come off of Wiley’s Club Wiley tape. You can stream/download the whole project HERE. Hit the jump for the trippiest visual trip you’ve taken in a while.
