Could it be?! Are the guys really back at it for 2014?
Earlier today, via Instagram, Dame Dash made an official statement about the future of The Diplomats that should have fans pretty excited.
“@thejuelzsantana @atrak @freekey730 @mr_camron @jimjonescapo @darealdukedagod @dipsetusa1997…yep..shit is real…we back”
The iconic Harlem supergroup first got together back in 1997 with Camron, Freeky Zeeky & Jim Jones, and were later joined by Juelz Santana, Hell Rell & 40 Cal. The Diplomats are a NYC staple responsible for classics like “I’m Ready,” “Hey Ma,” “Crunk Musik” & of course “Dipset Anthem.” Eventually sometime in 2007, the guys faced problems that would cause rifts in their relationship and they parted ways focusing on separate projects. It seems now years later after numerous sold out reunion shows, pleas from fans and with the new DIPSET USA Clothing Line on sale that Dame Dash got the artists back on track.
Camron currently has “Federal Reserve” with Atrak on the way as well as a joint project with Smoke DZA but there hasn’t been any mention of the collective releasing anything soon.
We’ll keep you updated of course.
