Can Greg Oden revitalize his career in Miami?
Former No.1 pick Greg Oden will make his return to the NBA next season. Yesterday Oden inked a two year deal with the defending champ where he will have a player option after 2013-2014. Oden will make $1.03 million in the first year and $1.14 million in the second year if he picks up that option.
Oden has had an injury riddled career only playing 82 games, so he hasn’t played a complete season since he was at Ohio State.
Oden shared this information about the signing with ESPN;
“When I had a conversation with Coach (Erik) Spoelstra and hearing how much he knew about the training stuff that I was already doing, it kind of made me feel like they know what’s best for me,” Oden said in a phone interview.
“I’m not going to sit here and say I’m 100 percent,” Oden added. “I am moving (well) and I am feeling good, but I have a lot of work to do.”
The way I see it if Oden can provide a solid 15 minutes of court time without getting injured it’s money well spent.
