well$!

If this song doesn’t give you the chills, your mind wandered. North Carolina emcee, Well$, gives us another single from his upcoming project MTSYD: The Revenge OF The African Booty Scratcher and this time it deals with a very real topic that unfortunately pops up every so often-school shootings. Well$ tells the fictional story of two friends at school who have a lot more going on in their lives than you can see on their faces and unfortunately deal with that stress in a fatal way. But the level of detail in their preparation and series of events, as well as insight into the kids’ emotions, is a tell tale sign that Well$ is capable of more than just schooling you on etiquette. He’s really built for the long haul.

The track was inspired from two sources: one being his cousin who is locked up after killing someone as a result of being bullied and the other being the video for “L’enfer c’est les Autres” by French-Congolese artist, Youssoupha. The track was produced by Shurik’n and THE BL∆CK HE∆RTS CLUB.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the Fort Hood shooting, including the shooter.
