The recently dropped “Bad” remix with Rihanna may be getting all the attention but the original songstress on Wale’s hit Tiara Thomas has re-recorded her own track. It’s a bit more polished, but still affectively simplistic in its poignant usage of acoustic guitar and Thomas’ smooth vocals. Originally made two years ago, like how Eminem used the chorus of Dido’s “Thank You” for his equally hypnotic “Stan”, “Bad” has been re-energized for Wale, whilst bringing curiosity to who is that girl singing the hook.
Thomas has just recently signed with Rico Love’s Division 1 and with the success of “Bad”, we can be expecting some more music from her before the year is out, including her (rumored titled) LP Sallie Mae.
Her newer version of “Bad” also features a quick rap verse from the Ball State University singer/songwriter.
