World’s number one fastest car

Reaching 270mph in a matter of seconds Hennesey’s Venom GT has become the world’s number one fastest car. The Venom GT is powered by a twin turbo-charged seven-litre V8 engine. Compared to the top speed of 200mph in a Formula 1 car the Venom GT was able to reach a whopping 270.49mph. The Venom GT is just slightly quicker than the Bugatti whose top speed reached 269.86mph in 2010.

Given access to Nasa’s space shuttle landing runway the Venom GT was only given one run around the track.
Pilot Brian Smith admitted that he could have made the car go about 5-10 miles faster but the Florida runway was just 3.22 miles long.
