On Monday January 7, the second season of “The Haves and the Have Nots” premiered and blew everyone’s socks off.
It was filled with so much emotion in addition to both thrilling and powerful scenes. The suspense began immediately ten minutes into the episode. In the interim, of Mr. and Mrs Cryer’s dispute about their son Wyatt, Amanda shocked everyone when she became easily persuaded by Candace to approach her parents for her inheritance.
Amanda shocked everyone when she became very dominant and disrespectful to her parents, while demanding the attention be taken off of Wyatt and onto her. Amanda left the house with rage after presenting her parents with a lawsuit to have them sued when they denied her request to receive her inheritance. Upon arriving home, they noticed that Jimmy was outside of their apartment. When Jimmy confessed to his parents that he was gay, his mother in rage left him without any money and without any place to stay. Jimmy had nowhere to go.
Candace showed us a softer side of her when she insisted Jimmy stay with her and Amanda. Later, Jimmy and Candace had a heart to heart in her apartment where Jimmy revealed that he knew all about Candace’s secret lies and in response Candace confided in him telling him a story of how her cousin who died years before, pretty much raised her and was a transvestite. He showed her the ropes and this explains many of Candace’s actions.
As Far as Benny goes, Hanna remained at the hospital after she found out that Benny was involved in the alleged Hit & Run that she knew was Wyatt’s Fault. There was also a father and daughter who were in the emergency room who coincidentally were awaiting the news about their daughter and granddaughter, who was also struck by a vehicle. The mom of the daughter was under the influence and slowly after coming down from her high revealed that she had in fact saw the person who was driving the vehicle. He was at the party and he left very abruptly. Later on in the episode A Rev. came and revealed that the same person who hit Benny also hit and killed the little girl. Very distraught and angry the family of the little girl as well as The Rev. demanded that the mother of the child present a sketch of the person driving the vehicle. This left Hanna in such a shocking position with her not only feeling the grief of this family, the worry of her son but also the guilt of knowing the person was Wyatt. The episode closed with a very heated and witty argument between Mr. & Mrs. Cryer. During their argument, Mrs. Cryer turned on the TV where the news detailed a horrific story about a hit & run involving the murder of a little girl as well as another person struck. Even though the name of the person remained anonymous, the cops declared they were on the hunt for the person who had done this, while all along the person was “Wyatt.”
